BCA, dealer of the BLR company (U.S.A) specialist of the business jets winglets conception and realisation, just perform the first winglets installation on King AIR 200 in FRANCE.

In the world, around 150 King Air 200 are already equipped of those winglets, made of aluminium and carbon fiber. The winglets are 59 cm height and increase the span of 111.5 cm.

Those winglets installation needs around 75 hours of work, modernize considerably the aircraft shape, decrease the fuel consumption of around 3,5% and increase the cruise speed from 5 to 8 kts.

The manufacturer is currently performing the certification tests for slightly modified winglets for King Air 90. The test flights are in process and the FAA certification is scheduled for hte 2009 Summer. The EASA certification should be obtained by the end of the year.
